Protein SynthesisBrief Description: Transcription occurs in the Nucleus, this is where DNA is replicated in mRNA to code for proteins. It will leave the Nucleus through the nuclear pores to attach to either a Ribosome located on the Rough ER or one that is free floating in the Cytoplasm. It will interact with the rRNA that is attached to the Ribosome, the process of Translation will now begin. Every codon (set of 3 bases) located on the mRNA will call for the tRNA with the proper anti-codon and Amino Acid attached to it to complete the building of the polypeptide chain.
